Fresh Cranberry Apple Crumble

Recipe

Serving Size: 8

Prep Time: 15 – 20 minutes

Cook Time: 1 Hour

 

Ingredients:

3 Cups Fresh Cranberries - The BOG Cranberries - Fresh Cranberries

3 Cups Sliced Apples [Gala, Honey Crisp or Crispin] 

1/4 Cup Brown Sugar

2/3 Cup Maple Syrup

3 Tbsp Melted Butter

1.5 Cup Dry Quick Cooking Oats

1 Tbsp Corn starch

1 Tsp. Cinnamon

1 Tsp Nutmeg

1/4 Salt

1/4 Cup Chopped Walnuts, Pecans

 

Optional:

Vanilla Ice Cream

Freeze Dried Fruits - Origo Variety Pack

 

Step 1

 

Preheat oven to 325 degrees and lightly spray a 9-inch baking dish with non-stick spray.

 

Step 2

 

Thinly slice the apples and add cranberries to a large mixing bowl.

 

Step 3

 

Add maple syrup, butter, corn starch and stir to combine well. Make sure you fold over to cover all the apple slices and cranberries.

 

Step 4

 

Add mixture to baking dish and spread evenly. Set aside.

 

Step 5

 

Roughly chop the walnuts, pecans and add to a medium bowl. Add oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Toss to combine and spread evenly across the apple / cranberry mixture.

 

Step 6

 

Bake uncovered for 55-60 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.

 

Step 7

 

Remove from oven and serve warm! Enjoy with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a decadent treat!
