Healthy Pistachio Basil Hummus

Recipe

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Serving: 8

 

Ingredients:

 

1 cup packed fresh Living Tray of Greens – Basil – Sky Harvest

3 large garlic cloves, minced

1/3 cup shelled Dry Roasted Premium Pistachios (Lime & Saffron) – Ayoub’s Dried Fruits & Nuts

¼ cup unsweetened organic green tea – Tega Tea

1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed

1/3 cup fresh lemon juice

¾ tsp Gourmet 12 Spice Collection Tin Box pink salt – Chef Laura

½ tsp Gourmet 12 Spice Collection Tin Box black pepper – Chef Laura

3 tbsp (Persian Lime) Infused Early Harvest Extra Virgin Olive Oil – All of Oils

 

Directions: 

 

STEP 1 

 

Combine all ingredients into a high-speed blender and blend until smooth for 2-3 minutes. Adjust to add more oil or seasoning if required.

 

STEP 2

 

Chill and serve with your favourite nut and seed crackers or whole wheat pita bread. Before serving, feel free to pour on a little more olive oil and top with a sprig of basil. Enjoy

Instead, you can whip together this simple recipe at home; it will only take 5-10 minutes! This classic dish is a fabulous green version packed with nutritious basil, a rich source of vitamins A, B6, C, and K. The pistachios add a slightly earthy and nutty flavour.
